Our student exchange programs in Korea focus on communication so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to use the language in meaningful everyday situations. As well as this, as a foreign exchange student in Korea, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a whole range of cultural activities and day trips.

To be an exchange student, candidates must be officially nominated by their home institution and pay the tuition fee to their home institution, not to SNU. On-campus housing is provided and partial support for fees for taking Korean language courses will be offered. Please note that the costs of exchange outside the EU are generally higher than for exchange within the Erasmus+ programme. However, in bilateral agreements the partner university will not charge tuition fees. There is no possibility to receive an Erasmus+ grant for exchange to South Korea. You can, however, apply for a Holland Scholarship.
